See you in 2010!

We broke down the booth today (pics are up) with heavy hearts and a forward eye to what tomorrow holds. We've had a great time covering NSJ 2005 and wish you all the best in the coming years. We'll keep posting of the next few weeks (more photos) and keep the site up for the forseeable future. You know where to get your content: www.emeritbadges.org

THank you again for your excellent coverage of the Jamboree. I hope that you will also be able to cover the 2007 World Jamboree. THank you again.

Thanks for everything. I just hope that my son was able to visit your booth and earn his merit badge. If not, he will surely be heartbroken when he sees what he missed.

Hey, which one of those photos is you, and what is your name?

Hi, two things:
1. Rest assured I'll get these guys involved in 2007.
2. I really should become a member (my father, and I believe, my grandfather were both members) this was so impressive, fantastic, awesome! And, as many have said, this rivals the official Jambo web site.
Ahh, competition, you just gotta love it!

Glad my son got to earn his electronics merit badge today! He and his buddy were very excited about their "project" but lamented not having batteries to show how it worked when I ran into him on Thomas Road today. Thanks for a fabulous opportunity.

Thanks so much for your website and photos and blogs. Really appreciate your effort to shut down the unfriendly blogger.
Really liked the fly over. Got the impression of the size when I walked 10 miles on sunday evening.

Again THANKS THANKS . I asked my son to go over to your booth but he probably did not get to it. Your site was much better the the official one. I think the official site got better when they saw the competition from your site. I enjoyed the unposed shots you did of the scouts and exhibits.

I am disappointed with people who feel it necessary to make disparaging comparisons with the official website. Those people did a wonderful job with very few staff. They had a variety of excellent features, including a lot of video, great photos, lots of terrific narrative and a beautiful website. Why can't we just be thankful for both sites? Putting that kind of unnecessary criticism on this happy website is almost as bad as the "bad apple" stupid blogger.

Thanks for your coverage of the Jamboree! It's been great! I too enjoyed both websites. All the pictures were great. Having both sites gave us, parents, a chance to see the Jamboree from a different view. I frequently went to both websites and was able to keep up with the Jamboree.

I have hit both sites everyday since Jamboree started. They are both awesome and I personally am glad to have them both. Everyone did a wonderful job for little or no pay. Thank you so much!!!!

Hi,
I think all of the sites were wonderful, official BSA, yours, Fredericksburg and Richmond. All of you commented on the size of this event. You need this many reporters and photographers to cover this event. All of the sites had wonderful pictures. I was able to see almost every thing by visiting each one daily. I am anxious to view them all again with my son narrating them.

I always signed on, went to this site first and then went to the BSA one. I too enjoyed both very much! It is obvious alot of work went into both. Thanks again.

We are getting ready for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree. The IEEE emeritbadges.org Project will be sponsoring the Electronics Merit Badge Booth and the Electricity Merit Badge Booth at the Merit Badge Midway. We need 77 volunteers per day to operate these booths. If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know.

Our team is also in the process of reviewing the Electronics Merit Badge pamphlet and the Electricity Merit Badge pamphlet for the next revision.
