Rain!!

This morning we experienced our first full deluge. It rained cats and dogs for 45 minutes and then subsided. We were comforted by our AccuWeather kiosk and took refuge in the booth while kicking back to the sounds of QBSA (The National Scout Jamboree's own FM Radio station). It's 8:30 a.m. and shaping up to be a great day.

Make sure to check out www.emeritbadges.org and check out our online cameras and photo galleries.

More later from The Hill.

Thank you so much for putting up this journal. I am the mom of one of the scouts there, and I have emailed all the parents of our contingent to tell them about your great site. We love reading about what is going on there!

Please tell us about the rest of the day. I heard that four adult scouters from Alaska were killed in an electrical incident in the afternoon.
