The Hill by Blackhawk

We took a tour of the Jamboree via Blackhawk yesterday. Check out the photos we took in the photo gallery. www.emeritbadges.org

They are incredible pictures. It really helped me see the expanse of the Jamboree. My younger son was amazed at the shot of the four swimming tanks for scuba diving and how big the arena is! It was great to see how the troop camps are set up as well. They all look great! Thanks for making me feel a little closer to my Jambo son today!

The BSA jamboree website now has new gateway photos on it. I can't believe some of these gateways. They are great!
They also have some videos but I can't get them to play on my computer.

Great pictures - it really gives us an idea of the expansiveness of the Jamboree. This site has been amazing. While our boys may come home with great pictures, they will never be able to get ones like the ones on your web site! I hope you keep these up, so that they can see them when they return home.

Our son is in Subcamp 1 - any chance you could post a picture of them?

The flyover pix are the BEST !! Not to sound too bossy, but you have to do this again, please! We all want a good flyover picture of our subcamp (mine is subcamp 10, please, please). These pictures do a better job of describing jamboree to those at home than 50 action close-ups. Thank you so much.

Awesome pics from the fly over! Any chance that you could get some photos from the Boys Life Patrol Flag contest? Keep up the GREAT work. :-)

Thank you so much for giving the parents a peek at what is going on at Jamboree. You have no idea what a relief it's been to check your site everyday. We can never thank you enough!!!!

Word so far from the his is George W will appear. I have heard that at least one troop has decided not to attend after Wednesday's experience but hopefully most of the boys will feel it is worth it to attend.

Sounds like morals and values
is something you know nothing about. ACLU punks don't want to give anyone else the right to stand up for what they believe in.

Great, just listened to Bush's speach. I love the QBSA Radio Station, Great Stuff.
This site is fantastic for comments and PHOTOS, PHOTOS, and more PHOTOS. To us that could not be there this site has been a great help.

I agree with whoever wrote in @ 10:50:32AM - a fly over of EVERY sub camp would be wonderful!
Especially Subcamp14!!!

While you are flying include Subcamp 18. Thanks

The fifth row, first photo is part of Subcamp 10. One campsite shown is Troop 1033, part of the Northwest Suburban Council, in Illinois (the Blues Brothers group). Like the rest of you I had been scanning the website photos and listening to QBSA since the start in hopes of seeing or hearing my son and his friends. Saturday myself and over 30 others went to visit. It was AMAZING. The jamboree is AWESOME. If your son does not call home much it is because there are so many GREAT things to do. Please also realize the jamboree is HUGE. Over 30,000 scouts...that is over 15,000 tents. Go easy on the emeritbadge photographer(s)...that would be ALOT of photos to try and make all those internet searching moms out there happy. * * * * * * * Just realize when you see a photo of a scout having a GREAT time, that your son may have been in front of him in line and JUST finished having that same GREAT time. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

Mom of Subcamp 10....
Are you sure that is subcamp 10? Looking at the road and the woods, I can't make that photo fit with the terraserver photos of subcamp 10. Oh well, I am glad your troop got in one of the shots. I would still like to see our troop's aerial photo. BTW, I do very much appreciate what the emeritbadge folks have done with this website. They are super.

Terra Server can have photography that can be very dated (old). So it could have changes some since then.

Excellent site - I identified my sons Troop in Sub Camp 2, I can even see identify his tent - Thanks for the shots. I am looking daily and have sent your site info to the other scout parents to follow along. I was fortunate enough to visit Saturday. What an event! Very impressed with the military and government agencies support with the activities. I was happy to see our President make it a priority to attend this event.
Keep on posting more pics.

These photos are fabulous. Having an aerial view is a real treat.
I can't wait to show these photos to my son. Hopefully they will spark some stories.

Thank you so much for putting up the photos and for the opportunity to share thoughts via the blog.
